Bereavement Care Service Centre Staff

 

Karen Mundell

This is Karen Mundell and she has been a bereavement counsellor at the Bereavement Care Service for 8 years.
She is very experienced in making a significant connection with people who have suffered a loss enabling them to feel comfortable with her as together they move through their grief in a gentle and genuine way.

Karen works with people of all ages but is especially good with young children and those that have lost a life partner.
She co-ordinates a small support group for parents who have lost a child in a motor vehicle accident.

 

Bruce Schubert

This is Bruce Schubert who has been a counsellor with the Bereavement Care Service for a little over 2 years.
Bruce has had a background working with people who have suffered trauma or lost loved ones through workplace accidents.
He co-ordinates the men’s grief group and has an interest in helping people who have lost a relative or close friend through suicide. He also enjoys working with adolescents and helping them accept, acknowledge and work through their grief sometimes for the first time in their lives.

 

Denise Hiser

This Denise Hiser – she is the backbone of the Bereavement Care Service.
She handles the booking of appointments, filing, organising events and workshops, pays the bills, buys the photocopying paper and keeps the machinery of the Bereavement Care Service all running smoothly –and she does it in her one-day-per-week role of Administrative Support!
